Elizabeth Thurston was born in 1813 in Plumstead and was the daughter of Hannah and a man named Thurston. She married William Broughton (1813) and supposedly settled with him in Over Darwin, Lancashire. In 1841 and 1851 she was living in Plumstead. In 1871 she was living in Plumstead Road, Edgefield. In 1891 she was living at The Green, Edgefield. She died in 1895 and was buried in Edgefield on 13th March.
