Mary Ann Broughton was born in 1836 in Edgefield and was baptised in Edgefield on 10th April. She was the daughter of Robert Broughton (1798) and Sarah Woodyard. In 1841 and 1851 she was living in Edgefield. She married William Potter in Edgefield on 9th September 1856. In 1861 she was living on The Green, Edgefield. In 1871 she was living in Conduit Lane, Market Place in Grantham. William died and she may have married George Fisher sometime after 1871.
