James Broughton was born in 1683 and christened on 29th December 1683 at Edgefield. He was the son of Edward Broughton (b. 1655) and Ann Loades. He married Elizabeth Sullon on 12th December 1708 in Edgefield. He died in 1713 and was buried on 23rd January 1713 at Edgefield.
