Daisy Broughton was born on 26th April 1919 at Pakefield and was the daughter of Sidney Broughton (1882) and Emma Edith Flowers. She moved with her parents to Nuneaton in 1938 and married Stanley Alexander Whetstone at Stockingford, Warwickshire on 11th September 1943.
