Sarah E Winward was born in Westhoughton in 1890 and was the daughter of John Winward (1848) and Ann Mangnall. In 1891 she was aged 1, and was living at 2 Lime or Lane Street, Westhoughton. In 1901 she was aged 11, was living at 4 Derwent Road, Bolton, and was working as a cotton piecer. In 1911 she was living at 7 Blackwood Street, Great Lever, Bolton. She probably married William Morris in the Bolton RD in 1914.
