Thomas Winward was born on 28th September 1664 and christened on 2nd October in Upholland. He was the son of Alexander Winward and a woman called Phoebe. He married Mary Hulme in Deane on 7th August 1688 and died and was buried in Westhoughton on 25th August 1727.
