James Bellingall was born in Reddish in 1896 and was the son of Frederick Leigh Bellingall (1867) and Anne. In 1901 he was aged 5 and was living at 13 John Street, Reddish. In 1911 he was living at 110 Love Lane, Stockport, and was at school. He married Dorothy E. Jones in the Stockport RD in 1928.
