James Ainscough was born in Aspull or Hindley on 11th May 1895 and was the son of George Ainscough (1870) and Ellen Hart. In 1901 he was aged 5 and was living at 48 Dicconson Lane, Westhoughton He emigrated with his parents sometime between 1904 and 1907 and died in Akron, Ohio, on 27th April 1974.
