Jane Ainscough was born around 1862 in Blackrod and was the daughter of James Ainscough (1843) and Mary Ann Waring. In 1871 she was aged 9 and living in Cock Tavern Yard, Blackrod. In 1881 she was aged 19, was working as a cotton weaver and living in Little Scotland, Blackrod. In 1891, she was aged 29, single and living with her parents at 384 Manchester Road in Blackrod. She was then a frametenter in a cotton mill. I have not traced Jane in the 1901 census.
