Mary Ellen Ainscough was born 5th April 1900 in Horwich and was the daughter of George Ainscough (b.1870) and Mary Ellen Winward. In 1901 and 1911 she was living at 49 New Brunswick Street in Horwich. She married Joe Egan in 1930 and, in 1939, was living at 21 Old Lords Crescent, Horwich. She died in the Farnworth RD in 1947.
