Jane Ainscough was the daughter of Charles Ainscough (b. 1848) and Miriam O'Hara. In 1891 she was living at 17 Holly Street, Aspull. In 1901 she was working as a card room hand in a cotton mill and was living at 1 Princess Street, Ince. In 1911 she was living at 21 Turners Yard in Pemberton and working as a beam drawer in a cotton mill.
