Alice Ainscough was born in Horwich on 18th June, 1911, and was the daughter of George Ainscough (1870) and Mary Ellen Winward. In 1939 she was living at 17 Leicester Avenue, Horwich and was working as a confectioner and cake maker. She married George Robert Maxwell on 10th November 1947, Cliff Webster on 7th September 1971 and Harold Platts on 25th October 1983. Alice died in Horwich on 27th March 2005, aged 93.
